There was a brief open discussion of students about their experiences on going to the doctor. This brought to light the differences between the responsibilities of a family doctor and a specialist. Students were also informed about concept of personalised medicine. By considering what they liked and didn't like about the encounter, they were able to determine the traits that patients considered appealing and repulsive in therapist. Students were then encouraged to think about their reason for choosing to become doctors as well as what they needed to do to cultivate the traits, which they felt were essential for a good doctor. Additionally, students were asked to think about any barriers they might perceive, how they would overcome them and how they expected the institute to help them accomplish their goal.
